Warm up and soften your heart together with the tea leaves
During Ocha Mindfulness, you will focus on your on-going action and image.
If your minds start wandering and focusing on other topics that is no problem. Remember that you can always go back to the Ocha Mindfulness practice.
Just be aware of it, accept it, and focus on the practice again.
Turn on the power/ gas to boil water.
This is the sign to start Ocha Mindfulness.
Firstly be conscious and accept your condition and feelings without judgment and evaluation.
Are you tired? Are you anxious about something?
Maybe you are emotional right now. It is ok. Just be aware and accept it.
Imagine your body starts getting relaxed deeper together with your breathing.
Every time you breathe out, you are more relaxed and sink into the chair/ floor.
On the other hand, your stress, fatigue, and anxiety start floating up on the surface of your body as your body sinks deeper.
Breath in your negative feelings and out toward the water in the kettle. Clear them out of your body and boil them away with the water.
Now pour this purified, gentle water into the teacup.
Hold it and imagine the warmness and kindness of the water are streaming into your body. It warms up your hands, feet, stomach and your heart.
Open the tea caddy and breath in deeply the beautiful aroma of tea.
Imagine you are in nature. Put the tea leaves in the teapot and observe it.
Synchronize these dried and hard tea leaves with your tired mind.
Now soften the dried tea leaves or your hardened heart with the purified water by steeping.
With a kind smile on your face, roll the teapot in your hands and imagine that your heart is getting tender with the tea leaves.
Finally, enjoy the infused tea full of your tenderness and gratitude.
